COMPUTER SOFTWARE: - These are written/coded programs that tell computer hardware what to do. 

Note:

  • computer hardware on its own can not do anything that is why it depends on computer software to instruct what to do.
  • programs are also known as computer instructions.
  • written/coded - means that these instructions or programs are written by computer programers
